About Deggendorf Institute of Technology

We maintain partnerships with 200 universities worldwide, and each semester we welcome around 150 exchange students from all over the world, who enjoy perfect conditions for their participation in the Erasmus+ programme. The modular structure of our English-language exchange programmes General Engineering, General Business and International Computer Science allow the academic requirements of a semester abroad to be tailored to the individual needs of each exchange student. Extracurricular activities from the International Office and the Erasmus Student Network ESN club, complete the agenda to make a semester abroad at DIT an unforgettable experience. Our faculties welcome international degree-seeking students in all degree programmes. DIT has the largest range of English-language degree programmes in Bavaria, with the European Campus Rottal-Inn in Pfarrkirchen being the only campus in Bavaria to host all lectures exclusively in English. The proportion of international students in German-language degree programmes is also impressive: a total of almost 35% of DIT students come from over 100 countries around the world to study in Deggendorf, Pfarrkirchen or Cham. In "Let's get Started" prep semester, international applicants can acquire all the necessary language qualifications to successfully complete a German-language degree programme. So intercultural contacts are part of everyday life here, and intercultural skills can be acquired in daily life at any of our campuses.

“I was really amazed about all the new people I got to know. I would have never thought I would get so many friends from all over the world! People were all really nice and pleasant to me. I saw that the International Office is really active and is in the most important role for promoting the campus on an international scale.

Deggendorf is designed to focus not only learn but also to be able to socialize and exchange opinions among individuals in order to get to know one another. An excellent infrastructure is also supported by high technology. In the class we have all the technology needed for everyday learning. Not surprisingly, Germany is the famous for its beauty and sophisticated technology, and that is also one of the advantages of this campus.”
