Taught in English, the program is organized by the Medical University in Lodz for the international students planning to apply for medical and dentistry programs in order to repeat and improve their knowledge required on the entrance exam. It also aims at making up the differences of candidates’ knowledge in the prerequisite subjects to help them in their first year of studies. Medical University of Lodz organizes the courses since 2013. Almost 140 participants completed PREMED successfully. Many of them have already graduated MUL or are currently Students of 5DMD or 6MD programs.
Dentistry program is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. Program is based on requirements obligatory for the Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards. Our Dentistry Teaching Center is equipped with 3 simulation rooms, 50 phantom units and 13 dental units, placing the MUL centre among the top-quality medical education centres in Europe. The program incorporates preclinical courses which are taught mostly during the two first years of studies. Then, starting from the second year, paraclinical courses are given. Finally, there are clinical courses that are taught during the senior four years of the dental program.
6-year MD program is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. It is a full time study program based on requirements obligatory for the Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards. We offer modern facilities, including brand new Medical Simulation Center. 6MD consists of 3 years of pre-clinical, basic subjects like anatomy, medical chemistry, biology, histology, and cell biology or microbiology and 3 years of clinical subjects, such as internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, infectious diseases and others.
Wiktor Pietraszewski (BSc Hons, DMD), graduated the UMED English Division 5-year DMD programme in 2017.
Doctor Wiktor Pietraszewski now specialises in aesthetically driven restorative dentistry, utilising modern digital technologies in his direct and indirect ceramic and composite work. His dentistry is fuelled by his passion for dental photography, which he now teaches in the UK. He is an avid fan and promoter of working with rubber dam and uses it in ALL of his restorative cases. After completing one year of foundation training (staż) at the Dental Institute in Łódź, he moved to Malta. He spent 2 years in Malta working in private practice developing his clinical skills and dental portfolio. He quickly started to gain a strong following on Instagram due to his artistic educational posts detailing his restorative workflow. He has attended numerous courses in the UK & Europe and has been tutored by several world renowned clinicians; including Maxim Belograd & Thomas Taha. Dr Wiktor is meticulous and thorough in his approach to each case whilst ensuring that patients’ needs and worries are fully attended to. After moving back to his hometown of London in late 2020, he continues to provide exceptional quality restorative work and now is a certified Invisalign provider at two London based private clinics. Wiktor aspires to be one of the best restorative dentists in the UK and hopes to open a state of the art clinic of his own within the next few years.
