“I’m from Tehran, which is a very big city, and moving to Jyväskylä was quite a change. I really like it here though. In Jyväskylä, people’s personal boundaries are respected, which I really like. It was also extremely easy to settle in here, because JYU is always there for you. If you have any questions you can just turn to the university and ask for help.”

“The best part of being a student in JYU is that you get the liberty to choose your own subject. No matter which department you are studying, there is always a chance to study the subject of your interest, even if it is from other departments. For example, I am a student of the ‘Biological and Environmental Science Department’ and my major is ‘Ecology and Evolutionary Biology’. However, I also studied courses in the local language and creating career in Finland. JYU has 100+ subjects to offer from.”
