The University of Salerno (UNISA) is ideally linked to the oldest academic institution in the Europe: the Schola Medica Salernitana. With this important tradition, UNISA currently counts around 40,000 students. Located in Campania Region, a few kilometers from Salerno city, at the junction of motorway intersections that make it central and easy to reach, UNISA is organized in two campuses (Fisciano and Baronissi) and is equipped with boasts modern facilities and efficient services for orientation, teaching, studying and leisure. The master's degree course in Food Engineering aims to train a professional figure of a technical nature, the food engineer, who uses the typical methods of chemical and process engineering to solve the problems of the food industry. This methodological approach represents a distinctive element of the Master of Science in Food Engineering of the University of Salerno compared to other similar courses offered in Europe, in which Food Engineering originates from Food Technologies rather than from Process Engineering.
The Master of Science in Digital Health and Bioinformatic Engineering aims to provide the student with methodological content and high-level design skills to solve problems in the application areas of bioinformatics systems and applications of information technologies to health protection. The proposed training course is aimed at developing at an advanced level the methodological skills for analyzing problems in the sector and solving them, arriving at the design of the necessary hardware and software systems.
The Master Degree in Data Science and Innovation Management (a two-year program divided into 4 semesters for 120 credits) offers a highly interdisciplinary training approach. The degree program aims to train future data scientists (also preparing them with open data management and professional data intelligence responsibilities) and tomorrow’s cyber-risk managers.
